Celebrating your child’s birthday is an important milestone in their
life, but it shouldn’t be a stressful event in yours. Kids’ birthday
parties, while fun and exciting, can prove more expensive than
expected, require hours of planning and shopping, and still leave you
with bored kids on your hands!
2K Play just came out with a
new game exclusively for the Nintendo Wii, Birthday Party Bash, which
provides you a unique way to throw a memorable party in the comfort of
your own home and without paying a fortune. I got to sample this at a
Nintendo Launch Party in NYC, where two kids beat me at every game,
from Sack Race to Piñata Blast. Looks like I need to practice more!
Birthday Party Bash is a “party-in-a-box” from start to finish and includes 12 ready-to-mail invitations, coupons for party supplies and Duncan Hines, a party-planning guide full of helpful tips and suggestions, and over 20 fun birthday party games, all played on the Wii.
Here’s a quick snapshot of how it works:
•
The birthday child chooses the party theme, anything from pirates to
princesses. They even get to create their own virtual character, as
well as characters for all of their guests!
• Up to 12 party guests can join in on playing the Wii games.
•
Finally, when it’s time to serve the cake, “Happy Birthday” will play
karaoke-style while a virtual cake appears on screen.
Birthday
Party Bash for Wii creates a fun and unique party experience for kids,
but it also saves you weeks of planning and that hit to your wallet.
It’s also perfect when you’re through with all of your traditional
birthday party activities and the cake – and there’s still an hour left
until pick-up time!

Forgot to say how I would like to use it at a birthday party. My son's birthday is in April so the weather is 'iffy'. This would be great for those 'not so good weather' birthdays. Thanks for the opportunity.

This sounds like a great game for young kids.

This looks wonderful! We're always looking for great new ideas for parties and you know how much the kids love the Wii!! This would be a huge hit at the next birthday party. Another way to keep the kids entertained would be fabulous!

This is such a great idea... far cheaper than a lot of other birthday options and the kids will love it just as much!

This is fabulous!! With 4 kids of varying ages it's hard to find something economical and fun for them all to do.

My family tried a clown for entertainment at my sons last birthday party, I was skeptical, but it turned into a huge hit. A magic show, and face painting had him talking about his party for weeks to come.

I think this is a wonderful idea that Nitendo came up with. My sons love their system and have asked about having a Wii birthday party but I didn't know how to go about planning it. Both of their birthdays are in Jan. & Feb. so a pool party is almost impossible. This would be a great game for them and their friends. It would be such a hit!!

This could do double duty for my son's 5th birthday and my husband's 40th :0)

This is a fabulous idea. Not only can it be used to keep kids busy and happy, but it can also be used after the party. Lots of different items for when it is not nice outside. Thanks for the opportunity.

All things Wii are great! This would save so much time and money and more importantly, help make a fun memory for our kids!

this would be AWESOME!!

Love the Wii and I love it because it helps to keep the kids moving. Where we live it has been in the 100's way too hot to go outside - so this gives them something to do inside and keeps them moving!!
This would also be great - My daughter's birthday is coming up soon - would be a great fun way to celebrate!!

FOR MY TWIN BOYS BIRTHDAY THEY WILL LOVE THIS
Posted by: RENEE1070 | July 20, 2009 at 12:50 PM
This would be so perfect for my boys. Their birthdays are just one day apart, so we usually do a combined birthday party for them. Their current obsession--and I really mean obsession--is their Wii, so I can't imagine a better "theme" for their party.

This is neat. I never heard of this game!

My kids would LOVE this game! They're just now getting into the Wii and we don't have many games yet. I know they would have a lot of fun with this one! :) Good luck everyone!

I forgot to add: My son is having a party for his best friend here late next month. The kids (both boys & girls) could create their own virtual party together which would be a lot of fun! :)

This would be great for my niece. She loves her Wii and so do her friends! And as a bonus, she would have to invite me so I could come and play!

I got a Wii about four months ago and purchased a game that I thought was for young children - Animal Crossing City Folk. I still haven't found an "everyday" game for my 4 year old granddaughter but I KNOW she'd love this for her next birthday. (Her parents also have a Wii so I'd probably give it to them.)

Logan is turning 8 years old September 30! He has only had family birthday parties, this year I want him to have a big party with his school friends.
With very limited money; this would help greatly to give this litle guy his first public birthday. Gosh he'd be so happy. :)

I would love to win this for Logan, he is turning 8 years old on Sept. 30. Family issues are bad right now; something cheerful like this would really help everyone out. Thank you.

This is one really nice idea. It would be great for a birthday party- kids or adults who like Wii too. Using it would be a great way to include everyone and make sure nobody was left out accidently, make sure everyone had a great time and lots of fun.

How fun! This is a great way to keep the kids entertained! My son just had a birthday, so I think I would first try this out with my nephew's birthday that's coming up and then if it's a success...then I think I'll use it for my little's ones next b-day!
